6 gadgets to be ‘launched’ this month

Lenovo is said to be taking the covers off its X910 smartphone at IFA 2013, which may go official with the name K6. Rumours say that this phone will have a 5-inch screen with 1920x1080p resolution and run on 2.1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset. It is said to be powered by Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), though other details are not yet known.

Asus is teasing next-generation Transformer tablet on its Facebook page with the tagline “We transform your mobility.” This device is expected to have a 10-inch screen and a Nvidia Tegra 4 chipset under the hood. As Asus has distanced itself from the Windows RT platform, this tablet is likely to run on Android operating system. Other details of the device, which is expected to be launched at IFA 2013,  remain unknown.

HTC is also expected to launch the Desire 601 (codenamed Zara) at this year’s IFA expo. This handset has a 4.5-inch touchscreen, 1.2GHz dual-core CPU and 1GB RAM. It is said to run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and come with 8GB internal storage (microSD cards supported for expansion) and 8MP camera with LED flash.Leaked images of the HTC Desire 601 hint at a plastic body, with design similar to that of the flagship smartphone One. It is said to have a 2,100mAh battery and BoomSound speakers with Beats Audio for sound enhancement.

LG has announced its G Pad 8.3 tablet, though it will be shown to the public for the first time at IFA 2013. This device has an 8.3-inch screen with 1920x1080p resolution and runs on a quad-core 1.7GHz processor, with 2GB RAM. It is powered by Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and packs 16GB internal storage.The new LG G Pad 8.3 tablet has a 5MP camera on the back and a 1.3MP camera in front. It has a 4,600mAh battery and comes with apps like Slide Aside, Q Slide and KnockON.

Sony is said to be working on a pair of strap-on camera lenses that are widely expected to be launched at IFA 2013 this week. The SmartShot QX10 and QX100 lenses will be attached to the back of any smartphone and work with the device using the Sony PlayMemories app over Wi-Fi.The SmartShot QX10 lens is said to have an 18MP sensor with F/3.3-5.9 optics and priced at $250. The SmartShot QX100 lens is expected to feature a 20.2MP sensor with F/1.8-4.9 optics and cost $450. Both the lenses will boast of Carl Zeiss optics and optical image stabilization.

Sony Xperia Z1 (codenamed Honami) is the upcoming camera-phone that the Japanese manufacturer is readying to battle the likes of Nokia Lumia 1020, Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom and the upcoming Oppo N1. This phone has leaked numerous times on the internet and has been teased by Sony as well recently.The upcoming Sony Xperia Z1 is said to launch on September 4 and feature a 5-inch screen with 1920x1080p resolution. It is said to have a 20.7MP camera with G-lens technology and ½.3-inch sensor. This camera is said to be capable of capturing 4K (movie hall quality) videos natively. Other features include a Snapdragon 800 qua-core processor, 3,000mAh battery and waterproof body.
